NCIS and DiNozzo Taps Perrey Reeves

Any shippers for Tony and Ziva on NCIS may have to wait just a little bit longer for any kind of payoff now that Perrey Reeves has been tapped to play Tony’s long talked about but never seen ex fiancée. Despite a scene in the latest episode that was ripe with romantic tension between Tony and Ziva, the series just isn’t ready to commit the two to each other. In fact, there moment was ruined by a phone call from Ziva’s CIA boyfriend, who is set to appear in the next episode making him very much still in play.

According to TV Guide, Wendy (Reeves) is supposed to be a quick-witted investigative journalist who finally makes an appearance during the Valentine’s Day episode. She’ll force her way into an NCIS investigation where she will come face to face with Tony. The role has the potential to become recurring and when the two ex lovers meet they will have to face their emotions all over again. The question is: will they react negatively or positively toward each other? The shippers won’t be happy if they rekindle their long over relationship. I’m sure they’d prefer it if they threw burning garbage to one another.

Reeves was a good choice for the Wendy role, who is supposed to embody every thing Tony seeks in a woman according to executive producer Gary Glasberg. Hopefully her presence won’t kick dirt on the rising fire that is Tony and Ziva’s attraction to each other.
