Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Legend of Korra – Metalbending Cops!
While most days I’m confused about what the title of Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender sequel will be (it’s been changed around a couple of times), today I’m just glad to have a new clip from Avatar: The Legend of Korra (or whatever it’s going to be called next week). The new 40-second clip is a must see for new and old fans alike. If some of you have been wary of a new Avatar, fret not. Korra appears to be just as strong and fun as the original.
The clip in question was first posted by io9. We come into the scene shown in the clip just after Korra has defeated a group of thugs in a busy street. She is approached by the authorities, who also happen to be expert Metalbenders. Apparently Korra is disturbing the peace and should be arrested for it. I guess self-defense is considered disturbing the peace nowadays. Why am I not surprised? Well, being the new Avatar, Korra is not about to go quietly with the police, so she high tails it out of there.
Now we have ourselves a chase! It’s a fun one to watch as short as the clip is. I won’t spoil the details of the chase. For that you’ll have to watch it yourself. I hope we get more clips like this. Without a precise airdate (all we know is it will air sometime this year) these short videos are all we have to tide us over. While I wait, I like to try and think of different types of bendings the series hasn’t done yet.
