The best news we’ve heard since an all new second season of The Walking Dead was ordered up in the first place is now upon us, all ye lovers of the apocalypse. Your favorite AMC series and the scariest show on television is about to expand. Everyone is talking about the order of three extra episodes to bring season two to a grand total of sixteen episodes this season. To celebrate, let’s bust out the popcorn and watch the latest midseason teaser.
Season one, as you surely recall, featured just six episodes. I would have said six measly episodes, but measly they were not. Those six had some kick and launched a cult following. Season two is already seven episodes gone, but it has been split into two halves and when the second run begins on Sunday, Feb. 12th at 9 p.m., the final six will cycle through. Season three will follow the same pattern.
Speaking of Feb. 12th, that episode is titled “Nebraska”. As it kicks off, our survivors are dealing with the aftermath of Sophia’s death. I hear it’ll be preceded with a marathon of previous episodes from both of the show’s seasons. Score! Now that’s a clear call for popcorn!
