TWILIGHT Vampire Lands in TRUE BLOOD SEASON 5

Actor Christopher Heyerdahl probably avoids the sun most of the time. This is because, in the insanely popular Twilight Saga films, he acts as Marcus, a member of the scary aristocrats, The Volturi. That’s a rather complicated way of saying he plays a vampire. A new gig will ensure Heyerdahl continues to keep his skin nice and pale. The outrageously tall actor will now be joining the HBO network’s hit drama, True Blood.

In fact, Deadline says, he’ll enjoy a nice recurring role.

Though Twilight and True Blood have some night an day differences, it is playing a member of Stephenie Meyer’s Volturi that should well prepare Heyerdahl for his new part. His character is Dieter Braun, a very, very old and very, very powerful vampire who contributes to the intelligence of The Authority.

If you are a little rusty on your True Blood mythos, The Vampire Authority is five-member team of the highest ranking vampires in Sookie’s world. Dieter sounds a heck of a lot scarier than Marcus. Dieter has a penchant for interrogation and possibly torture.

Heyerdahl currently co-stars on the AMC series, Hell On Wheels, as The Swede.

True Blood is expected to begin an all new 5th season sometime this summer. Stephenie Meyer fans can enjoy more Volturi in Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, part two, this November.
