FRINGE Casting News

Fringe Fox

I so rarely get to talk about Fringe casting that when I do get the chance to report on who the Fox series has most recently grabbed for a guest starring role I can’t help but swell with joy. Whether it’s as a guest or a recurring role, Fringe has a habit of bringing in some of the best names in the business. We’ve had Stephen Root, Peter Weller, Sebastian Roche, and Jared Harris, just to name a few. The latest name to join the list is a big one to anyone who’s a fan of J.J. Abrams’ other notable series: Lost. Are you ready for it?

According to TVLine, Henry Ian Cusick will join the cast of Fringe in the upcoming 19th episode. He is perhaps best known for his role as Desmond Hume on ABC’s Lost. He first started as a guest star in the second season premiere and was promoted to series regular for Season 3, a position he maintained until the show’s conclusion. These days Cusick is still hard at work, having just wrapped production on the first season of Scandel on ABC, a series that will premiere on April 5th.

Coming on to Fringe could be called a reunion of sorts, since both Fringe and Lost were executive produced by Abrams, although he had long handed over his duties on both series long before Cusick appeared. As for who Cusick will be playing on Fringe, all that can be said is he’ll be portraying an FBI agent assigned to a Fringe case.

About Brody Gibson

+Brody Gibson studied film in Vancouver, BC. I originally intended to become a video editor, but realized I have a passion for writing. To say I love television is a bit of an understatement. I watch it religiously, think about it constantly. To be able to talk about it is one the best things in the world. Combining that with my love of writing gives me the opportunity to express my opinions to the Internet masses and start gripping conversations.
