GAME OF THRONES Season 2 Record Buzz

Just when you thought Game of Thrones couldn’t become any more popular, all expectations and records were shattered by the release of the latest trailer for Season 2. When the first season of GoT was airing, it did nothing but grow its audience with every new episode. The fans are ravenous and multiplying and now they’ve reached a level of excitement where even trailers are being heavily consumed.

As reported by EW.com, the latest trailer, called “Shadows,” was released this past Sunday to the Internet where it was viewed 3.5 million times on YouTube alone. That is phenomenal for this short amount of time. No other trailer for an HBO series has ever reached this number of views, causing a lot of people to consider that the GoT Season 2 will premiere to a much larger audience than ever before. Because of word of mouth and the ability to catch up on all missed episodes, the audience has been discreetly growing. I don’t know about anyone else, but I’ve told as many people as possible to watch GoT, and goodness knows how many people they’ve spread the word to. When the season premieres April 1^st, HBO will be very happy with the numbers.

The only thing to stop GoT at this point would be the end of days. It will be the most popular cable television show in history one day. I’m calling it right now and you can quote me. Winter, and April 1^st, can’t come fast enough.
