Is Justin Bieber Returning to SNL?
Back in April 2010, Justin Bieber made his debut on NBC’s long running sketch comedy show, Saturday Night Live, as a musical guest. Flash forward to the present day and there are rumblings that he may be returning, only this time he will be hosting SNL for the first time. I’ve seen Bieber be funny (those Funny or Die April Fool’s Day videos? Hilarious), but that was with some very well written material. More often than not, SNL has been missing the mark when it comes to its sketches, leaving me worried they’ll be able to use Bieber to his full potential.
In related news, Jonah hill is also returning to SNL to host for the second time. TVLine suggests Hill will host the March 10th episode, though neither he nor Bieber’s bookings have been confirmed by NBC. Jonah Hill is making a big name for himself, what with his recent Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor for Moneyball. Did anyone see that coming? I sure as hell didn’t. Thankfully, Hill hasn’t parted ways with the types of films that made him famous to begin with. His next film being released is a remake of 21 Jump Street, co-starring Channing Tatum.
Also, this week one of the SNL’s cast members up and quit the show. Paul Brittain, who’s been with the show for a year and a half, just left, citing his reasoning as wanting to “pursue other projects.” Umm, okay? What does that even mean? I hope you find a paying job!
