Kitchen Nightmares and Top Chef Keep on Cooking
Simply because the world will never, ever tire of shows based around food and the people who cook said food, both Top Chef and Kitchen Nightmares have been renewed for another season of each. For those of you counting at home this will give Top Chef its tenth season and Kitchen Nightmares its fifth. I will never question why a cooking show gets a renewal because it is such a simple understanding. People love food. They will watch shows featuring food for hours. I know I’ve done it. I’ll wake up, slug my way over to the couch and turn on the Food Network. Suddenly seven hours have gone by.
On top of ordering Season 10 of Top Chef, Bravo also announced it would be having open calls for chef’s interested in auditioning for a spot on the February 21st episode. TV Guide reports the auditions will be held in New York, Denver, Atlanta, San Francisco, Washington, and Los Angeles. So if you happen to live in one of those areas and are a chef who sees himself as worthy of the titled of Top Chef then now is the time to seek your fame.
Fox just cannot get enough of chef Gordon Ramsay, the short-fused star of Kitchen Nightmares. Even if they decided not to renew Nightmares, though TVGuide assured us they did, Ramsay is still the host of another Fox series, Hell’s Kitchen. You’d think he’d get tired of going around to failing restaurants and whipping them into shape, but he’s stoked about the renewal. Frankly, I’m a little afraid of him.
