Missed: Nude Nina Dobrev on HBO’s BOARDWALK EMPIRE

I have some bad news for both fans of the CW’s The Vampire Diaries and HBO’s Boardwalk Empire: it seems we missed out on seeing Nina Dobrev in the nude. When Boardwalk Empire was first getting started, Nina Dobrev was offered a role, but the 23 year-old, then 21, had to turn down the part because she wasn’t comfortable with the nudity that would be required of her. It’s a tragedy, but one that is completely understandable. We’ll just have to be disappointed in silence out of respect for her decision.

Dobrev, who has been busy doing five shows in two days for Fashion Week, spoke with E! Online, where she revealed her choice to keep her clothes on. The Vampire Diaries actress said her reasoning behind turning down the role for what wound up being an award winning series was she felt she was too young. She wasn’t ready to show that much skin it seems. But now that a couple of years have gone by has her attitude toward nudity changed at all? In one infinitely satisfying word: yes.

These days Dobrev is of the mindset that if the right part were to come to her she would be open to doing nudity, so long as it was tasteful and appropriate for the part. She doesn’t feel like there’s anything wrong with undressing for a role, though she is proud to have remained clothed for as long as she has. But the important part is she would consider going nude.
