For the sake of extra authenticity, you can watch as filmmakers discuss arriving at their decision to shoot in Brazil in the neighborhood where young people would actually go to have fun. The party there, basically, took on “a life of it’s own.”

Another rarity you’ll encounter in the video diary was the chance for filmmakers to find a preexisting house on the coast of one of the Brazilian islands. It is illegal to build on the beach. Still, they lucked out and the result again is more authenticity.
