Selena Gomez or Miley Cyrus at the Hotel?

Selena Gomez, Hotel Transylvania, Adam Sandler

If you wanted Miley Cyrus and got Selena Gomez instead, would that be cause to celebrate, or would you feel slighted? Well, right here on Boomtron we announced a new animated project called Hotel Transylvania. It sounded pretty fun, too. Miley was attached, but that’s no longer true.

The project will star Adam Sandler as Dracula, the owner of a resort catering to monsters and their families. His co-star will have to bring to life Mavis, Dracula’s daughter. We’ve already seen sketches of the character of Mavis. She’s tall, with dark hair. Up until now Miley was slated to voice the girl. But according to Cinema Blend, Miley is out.

Does that mean Selena Gomez is in? That has not yet been confirmed by Sony Pictures Animation, but rumor has it, Justin Bieber’s girlfriend, who also sings and also got her start with Disney, may replace Cyrus. I think this would be a wise casting decision. Do you agree? Leave us a note below.

Also in the film are Frankenstein, acted by comedian Kevin James; his bride, acted by Fran Drescher; the Invisible Man acted by the insane David Spade; Quasimodo, acted by David Koechner; Murray the Mummy voiced by Cee Lo Green; and werewolf couple, delivered by Steve Buscemi and Molly Shannon. What a cast! The plot will thicken as a human boy lands at the hotel and falls in love with Mavis. We’ll update you as soon as we can.
