Stephenie Meyer – No Twilight Studio Beef
You know you’ve thought about it. What story would a brand new chapter of the Twilight Saga tell? Could it describe the final downfall of the Volturi? Could it explore the relationship between Jacob Black and a certain hybrid vampire? I always thought it would be nice to follow werewolf Leah Clearwater on her adventures and her journey toward finally imprinting. Whatever the future of the series holds, you read it right here when Boomtron picked up the story that Lionsgate, which now owns the “Twilight” studio Summit Entertainment, would be thrilled to do a sixth Twilight film. Now read what author Stephenie Meyer has to say about that.
It seems nasty rumors have been circling that Stephenie Meyer has some kind of axe to grind with Lionsgate. I can see where something like that could spread. When one company is bought out by another, toes can get stepped on. But via her official website StephenieMeyer.com, the lady who is also behind The Host revealed, she has no beef with Liongate or Summit.
“I have absolutely no issues with anyone at Lionsgate,” she writes. “Far from being a negative thing, it’s actually a very nice feeling to know that both Lionsgate and Summit would like to make another Twilight movie if I were ever to write another Twilight book.” She went on the thank both entities for their continued support and said she was looking forward to working with both old friends and new.
Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, part two, is, so far, the final Twilight movie. It will debut in November.
