Tyra Banks and America’s Next Top Model Will Be Back

America's Next Top Model

The world can now rest in peace knowing Tyra Banks and America’s Next Top model will be back for yet another season of extremely skinny, overly emotional, young, caddy women competing for that number one spot of top model. This brings the show to a whopping 19 seasons, and you can really tell the show has been around perhaps too long. To keep things “interesting” there will be a new twist to the proceedings and when you hear what it is I hope you share my feelings about it.

According to TVLine, the 19th cycle of America’s Next Top model will be a College Edition of sorts. Nothing concrete has really been said on how the twist will affect things, but we can say for certain the girls selected will be from various colleges in America. So here’s how I feel about this: what an incredibly pointless twist. Usually all the models are young women in their twenties, which would put them at around the typical college age. But even if they’re in their late twenties they could still easily be in college, so I guess I’m confused as to why they’re targeting college girls specifically. I can’t see what that will bring to the show that will new or different.

I assume the challenges and photo shoots will be college themed, but that still just seems so lazy to me. I cannot wrap my head around this concept at all. Maybe they’re implying college girls are smarter? I hope not.

About Brody Gibson

I watch it religiously, think about it constantly. To be able to talk about it is one the best things in the world.
