VAMPIRE DIARIES – Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev in Dangerous Liaisons

Coming this Friday, February 9^th is a brand spanking new episode of the CW’s The Vampire Diaries, titled “Dangerous Liaisons,” that will feature some heavy shipping toward the pairing of Ian Somerhalder’s Damon and Nina Dobrev’s Elena. Don’t believe me? Check out the photo I used up above. You try and tell me they aren’t making smoldering eyes at each other. And if that isn’t enough, the video below features Stefan (Paul Wesley) acknowledging Elena’s romantic shift toward Damon.

Getting in to the video, we’re treated to a scene featuring Elena and the Salvatore brothers. It becomes quickly apparent Esther (Alice Evans) has invited Elena to some type of formal ball at Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) mansion. Naturally everyone is suspicious of Esther’s motives since she so recently tried to get Elena killed. Still, Elena feels she should probably investigate Esther and see what she really wants, which we all know is stupid decision, but this is television. Let it go. Stefan is all for it, prompting Damon to state he misses when Stefan actually cared whether Elena died or not. Stefan volleys back, pointing out that particular duty has since passed on to Damon. Meow boys. Put the claws away.

All of Damon’s protests are reduced to drivel when Elena agrees to go to the ball. Completely submitting to his role as Elena Protector, Damon decides to go with her. Looks to me like regardless of what happens at the ball, the night will be filled with fun. I hope it’s a proper mix of good and bad fun.
