Vin Diesel in RIDDICK 3 Action

Riddick 3 is filming now and Boomtron has delivered steady updates thanks to the star himself, Mr. Vin Diesel. Today the actor provided two fantastic behind the scenes shots from the set and in turn, so, too, have we. Get ready for a close up of the Furyan himself, looking rather intense, as well as a gravity defying action shot. Action is Diesel’s middle name, after all.

These very special photos came from Diesel’s official Facebook page. You can’t say he doesn’t love the Riddick franchise and you can’t say he isn’t generous.

So far we know the former Starbuck actress Katee Sackhoff will appear in the sequel.

Diesel was very introspective about the candid shot of him in character. In his caption he wrote that he liked the shot because despite his very physical character, whoever shot the photo caught the man simply “reflecting”. What was diesel pondering at this exact moment? He might have been comparing Riddick and the Furyan’s inner demons to his own. He said, “It is strange how learning about myself always coincides with playing the character.”

In a surprisingly human tone, Diesel also used the opportunity to remember a friend who has recently passed away. I guess ol’ Diesel has a gentle side, ladies. Oh yeah, and according to the other pic, he can also fly. What’s not to like?
