The New Superman Shield Reveal

Superman Gets new Style in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel movie
There is new buzz about our other superhero who is heading to the big screen in 2013. “In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time.” The Man of Steel is coming.
Still in production Man of Steel has undergone quite a bit of scrutiny. There have been die-hard fans that have questioned the choice in actor to play the beloved Superman (Henry Cavill), and may critics have been rendered speechless when the revamped costume for the character was unveiled. But its time we embrace the choices of the filmmakers and costume designers since their choices instill usually very bold opinions – whether you love it or hate it we all just keep coming back for more.
Ever since the remake was announced, production details have remained in the shadows. But I must extend a heart felt thank you to all those who dig deep and bring information to the surface to fan the fires of those who geek out when news reaches them about their favourite comic book heroes.
With that in mind, and thanks to Hollywood and their magnificent ways of marketing, Boomtron has a lovely new piece of information for you, dear readers, regarding the Man of Steel motion picture. The unveiling of Superman’s shield has been brought to our attention, and as we love to make sure you get all the latest and greatest, we have the picture posted here for your viewing pleasure.
The logo which you can view above, is a reflection of the movie title itself. The background a dark cobalt grey, and the usual vibrant red ‘S’ that we’re used to seeing has been changed to a dark, almost copper-ish red. The logo sets in your mind a darker, more primal Superman than we may be used to. Man of Steel is etched beneath the Superman symbol in shiny, reflective “steel” lettering complete with light spots – you know, those spots where the light catches and sets off a nice bright shine that generally tends to blind you – yeah, those kind of light spots.
Having a new logo to go with a new costume and new leading man is a great way to reinvent the very overdone superhero. I must admit, I did enjoy Superman Returns and I thought Brandon Routh made a wonderful traditional Superman, but with this new film, Man of Steel coming up next year there is no doubt I’ll be in the line-up to see it. Henry Cavill is a fantastic actor and he will undoubtedly bring new personality and depth to this version of Superman. Cavill is beginning to make his mark in Hollywood and he has nowhere to go but up.
Tell me what you think of Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman and his new logo and watch for Man of Steel when it is released June 14, 2013.

“But its time we embrace the choices of the filmmakers and costume designers since their choices instill usually very bold opinions ” Unfortunately ther has been so much crap spewed by the producers and director as to how they came to the story line of this movie, all of which was a bunch of bull. The story line of this movie existed well before Nolan claims to have sat down and discussed Superman and his vision for this movie. As for the director, Zack Snyder, he is mediocre at best(Watchmen) and horriblt horrible at worst(Sucker Punch). As for the padded, scalely looking costume, it looks horrible. I really hope this ill be a great movie but I highly doubt it! Until then, I am not embracing anything about this movie as it has been a bunch a crap right from the start. And don’t get me started about Cavill weighing 175 lbs in February 2011 and weighinh 205 lbs by August 2011. Roids and HGH period! And 205 lbs(after snyder had to take back his claim that Cavill weighed 225lbs) and just 6 feet tall is not Superman, thus the padded costume and the boots with 2 inch lift. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want a Superman looking like some WWE wrestler but rather 6′ 2″ to 6, 4″ 225 lbs is how Superman should look.
