Angel Amy Acker is a Person of Interest

Person of Interest CBS

One of Joss Whedon’s go-to girls is heading to CBS’s Person of Interest for a very important role. Amy Acker (Angel, Dollhouse) will be the last “person of interest” for the freshman show’s first season. That’s a distinction I would be proud to have. Person of Interest has proved itself a capable show despite its shaky beginnings. It has come a long way and I’m excited to see where it goes with its first season finale. Its final string of episodes is set to begin airing next week, leading up to the May 17th finale. I couldn’t be more excited about the direction of this series right now.

As reported by TV Guide, Acker will be playing an attractive (typical) psychologist who caters to the rich and powerful. That sounds to me like the perfect type of person to be involved in a violent crime. It’s just whether she’s the victim or perpetrator that remains unclear. Actually, it’s quite clear.  When her number is spat out by the Machine, Reese is given the task of protecting her from her own clients, who have certain secrets they wish to send to the grave with Acker’s character. This is why it sucks to work with rich people. They’re always trying to kill you! You can check out a promo gallery of images  we have for the next episode of Person of Interest, “Matsya Nyaya”.

Acker has been a busy girl as of late, yet she still finds herself unable to resist the call of Joss Whedon. She just recently appeared in the Whedon produced horror film The Cabin in the Woods, which I highly recommend you check out. In work unrelated to Whedon, Acker appeared in episodes of both Grimm and Once Upon a Time. If she continues bouncing around from hit show to hit show like this, someone is going to have realize she deserves a show of her own! I mean, if Jennifer Morisen can get her own show, certainly Amy Acker can.

About Brody Gibson

+Brody Gibson studied film in Vancouver, BC. I originally intended to become a video editor, but realized I have a passion for writing. To say I love television is a bit of an understatement. I watch it religiously, think about it constantly. To be able to talk about it is one the best things in the world. Combining that with my love of writing gives me the opportunity to express my opinions to the Internet masses and start gripping conversations.
