Avengers is over, Asgardian Guardian Idris Elba To Return for Thor 2

Idris Elba should be starring in some MARVEL movie, but for now he’s good with confirming that he will return for Thor 2. Speaking with Collider, the actor who played Heimdall in the first Thor movie shared that he plans to revisit the character in the “my man in a suit film” after he gets done portraying Nelson Mandela. Elba goes on to add  he has not yet read a script, but would like it if his character was a bit more dimensional this time around, citing fan’s excitement over Asgard in the first film.

Coming sooner, Elba is part of Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, which, even as a comic book fan, interests me a hell of a lot more than Thor. Why? Well, because if you’ve already seen  The Avengers, you know who’s coming, and how much of a badass he is, so all they extra are fodder about to get sunned by him (a movie I DO want to see). Considering the Asgardians present a high powered but negligible commodity, seems like a good opportunity for them to get crushed, while my boy goes and collects a trinket of his they may be holding.
