No More TRUE BLOOD for Charlaine Harris

We just got a new True Blood Season 5 trailer to get us prepped for the upcoming new season, but the author whose novels inspired the popular HBO vampire romp is hanging up the Bon Temps stomping grounds after this year. Charlaine Harris took to the facebook to tell everyone that next year, specifically May 2, 2013, the 13th and final Sookie Stackhouse book will hit shelves, carrying the title Dead Ever After.
Dead Ever After, like all of the previous Southern Vampire Mystery novels by Harris, will be published by ACE (Penguin).
HBO’s True Blood is based on Harris’ The Southern Vampire Mysteries, a series that next year will have been around for a dozen years. Harris was kind enough to participate in one of our round-table Synergy features, and if you’re interested in finding out what the author’s own favorite childhood scare story is, go read her answer and that of several other writers.
