Bret Easton Ellis Gets His Porn Star AND Lindsay Lohan for The Canyons

Looks like Bret Easton Ellis got his wish. The writer took to twitter to announce that The Canyons, a film written by him and to be directed by Paul Schrader, has cast two stars for the film: James Deen and Lindsay Lohan. Deen, a porn star, is somebody that Ellis has been championing for the role of “Christian” for awhile now, a character that’s been described as a “handsome, fit power player and major manipulator”.

Ellis goes on to tweet:

And I am beyond thrilled that James Deen and Lindsay Lohan will be playing the parts of Christian and Tara in THE CANYONS by BEE.

Last month, the principle roles for The Canyons were reported by EW to have “to act and be full frontal naked banging girls and guys realistically.” The film itself is summarized as a contemporary thriller that documents five twenty-somethings’ quest for power, love, sex and success in 2012 Hollywood.

Ellis is probably best known for penning American Psycho, which was one of several of his works adapted to film. In regards to Lohan, she doesn’t seem to having many problems finding work after her ~~well~~ over documented issues. Lohan is currently portraying Elizabeth Taylor for Lifetime’s upcoming Liz and Dick, recently made a cameo on Glee, and was the cover girl on very successful issue of Playboy (which I still don’t get how equates to rock bottom for some).
