An Extra Dose of Charisma Carpenter in The Lying Game?

More Charisma Carpenter is an automatic approval with me, and fans of ABC’ Family’s The Lying Game may be getting the goods for their upcoming second season. Charisma nabbed the role of Anne “Rebecca’” Sewell in the first season last November. I have to admit that I haven’t seen The Lying Game, but apparently the Whedonverse (where I know her from) favorite played heavily into last season’s finale, making a promotion for her seem sensible.

Variety reports that Carpenter is currently working out a deal to up her as a series regular for season 2. The Lying Game is expected to return to ABC Family in the winter, possibly in January (according to Charisma Carpenter herself ), for a 20 episode order with shooting to begin next month.

Fans of Charisma Carpenter will also be able to catch her at theaters in Expendables 2, where she will reprise her role as Christmas’s (Jason Statham) girlfriend. It’s expected to hit theaters this August.
