CSI:NY Season 9 On Fire by the Numb3rs

CBS’ CSI: NY keeps rolling with casting news, now announcing a guest star we will meet in the upcoming CSI Big Apple season 9′s premiere, and beyond. Rob Morrow, the non-genius of the crime-fighting sibling duos from Numb3rs, is slated to appear in the initial two episodes of the season. In CSI he’s on the other side of the law, kind of, having been a just released convicted arsonist.

TVline reports that Morrow’s past talents are exactly what the CSI team needs, and seeks out his expertise when several fires crop up in the city. CBS has spent the time between seasons to lock up and/or reward some of their veteran cast members, just this month having given Jon Wellner (Henry Andrews) a raise and re-upping Greg Sanders (Eric Szmanda ).
Recently Morrow was the lead in ABC’s The Whole Truth (with Maura Tierney who will be on The Good Wife next season) , which got through four episodes before being pulled by the network, and if you’re an Entourage fan you may have also caught him (again, in the legal/law enforcement profession).
CSI: NY season 9 arrives this fall at CBS, though it’s been moved to the dreaded Friday slot.
