Jessica Sanchez Inks Deal – Is She Still Glee Bound?

We are still waiting on confirmation on the latter for Jessica Sanchez, with last week’s report of last season’s American Idol runner-up joining a multi-episode arc in Glee’s upcoming season 4 still hanging. it does seem like quite the natural fit though. She does, however, now have a job that we know of, inking a music deal with Interscope and Jimmy Iovine who mentored both Sanchez and the season’s eventual winner Phillip Phillips, and was singing the praises of Sanchez throughout the process.

THR reports that Sanchez will drop her first album in October and it “will feature a more urban flavor devoid of the middle-of-the-road ballads the 16-year-old performed on the show.” If people recall, there was a big deal made of the American Idol contracts this season concerning potential payout and the record deals for the competition’s runner-up. Looks like Sanchez has it handled.

Back to tv for a moment, if Sanchez were to ink a deal to appear on Glee, she would be joining a guest star list for the upcoming season that already includes Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker. We will also be introduced to Puck’s brother and more.
