Kristin Kreuk in CW Beauty and the Beast Tease

Beauty & The Beast CW

Kristin Kreuk returns to the CW this Fall as the one of half of the Beauty and the Beast equation, and we have this extended preview sent to us by the CW. She’s joined by Jay Ryan in this remake of the 80s CBS series (of the same name) that starred Linda Hamilton and Ron Perlman – and also had several episodes written by George R.R. martin, the author whose works are being adapted to some current, small, show called Game of Thrones on HBO.

This version of Beauty and and Beast looks like it’s going to get every chance to hit, with it possibly being slot in a spot to be lead into by CW’s hit Vampire Diaries series. Joining Kreuk and Ryan in the cast are Nicole Anderson (Jonas LA, Make it Or Break It), Nina Lisandrello, and Max Brown.

After awhile  I found some of Smallville to be difficult to watch but I never quite got on the hate-Kreuk bandwagon that began to develop, because I think a lot of it was really terrible plots and dialogue to begin with. I mean, literally, ever other episode for her resembled, “Clark, tell me your secrets, do you have a secret, I feel like you have a a secret”.  I’m not sure many people could have done much with that and Durance was never really given that problem. They’re both cute as hell though. From this promo, it doesn’t look like that has changed.

This is an extensive preview that really does set the table for you and let you decide whether you’re in or not.

I really hope that they have a “darker” Vincent than in the original series. It seems possible because this Vincent’s “beast” is inside him, connected to his emotions, not just an outward appearance. More storyline possibilities that way. I’m excited to see it!
