Leverage Season 5 – Willa Ford Sets Up Shop

Leverage TNT

Singer and actress Willa Ford – seen in the above still brandishing a Molotov cocktail – has been making a reputation for herself by playing an escort on STARZ’ Magic City and is continuing that ride by snagging a sweet guest starring role on TNT’s Leverage. Unfortunately, the role won’t be quite as colorful as a Molotov cocktail wielding person or a paid escort. Ford’s character on Leverage will be a mild mannered shop owner, doing what she can to keep her business alive and pay her bills. And since TNT is way more strict about its content when compared to STARZ, Ford will have to remain fully clothed, despite being more comfortable with undressing for the camera.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ford’s shop owner is named Tabath, and is described as a feisty woman in her late 20s who owns a local grocery store in the small town of Apple Springs, Ore. In the episode she appears in, number 11, she is hard at work protecting her family business – and the community she lives in – from a megastore setting up shop nearby. It’ll be a classic underdog story! Those always do well with audiences. The only lingering question is how Tabatha ties into Nathan Ford and his team.

While there is no official word on how Tabatha gets involved with these modern day Robin Hoods, I think it’s a pretty easy to guess they will try and sabotage the megastore in some way. That’s kind of their thing. And on top of that, Eliot will find himself uncontrollably attracted to Tabatha and ask her out to dinner. Since this is the only episode Ford is signed up for, I can’t imagine the date going very well.

Leverage Season 5 starts this summer, though right now there is no solid premiere date. I would expect it to pop up in August, but don’t hold me to that.
