Lindsay Lohan and Dick for Lifetime

Pardon the title. Earlier during the week this first promo image of the pairing of former Playboy covergirl Lindsay Lohan and True Blood werewolf Grant Bowler in a Lifetime made for tv original movie called Liz and Dick, a film based on the lives of of Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.
Lohan reportedly beat out a couple of very familiar names for this role, even a rumor that Megan Fox was being considered. Liz and Dick started filming last month and is reportedly going to be ready for a November release (or just enough time for Lohan to be the subject of a ton of paparazi images from the project).
I used to feel like I could be able to completely ignore Lifetime, and that hasn’t changed a lot, but I have to admit their putting Jennifer Love Hewitt back into a starring role – and greenlit a second season – is at least a shot across the bow. I have to admit that while I wouldn’t consider myself a fan of Lohan I never really go too down on her, just because she was the subject of some rather typical problems with young people and being caught on bad days in some rather bad pictures. I think Lohan looks rather right in black and white here, but we’ll wait and see more as we get closer to release.
Bowler was cast just last month, and because I don’t watch True Blood I knew him for his brief role on LOST as the freighter captain. He was picked for Liz and Dick due to apparent amazing chemistry between him and Lohan. He seems to be enjoying himself here, in what a True Blood fan might mistake for a vamp move.
