No Rest for My Downton Abbey Girl

If I could have an immature moment, when it comes to Downton Abbey I”ve been #teamLadyMary from jump. I can’t wait for season 3 of Downton Abbey (and it would be great if season would hit Netflix already), but post-Abbey  it looks we will see more of Lady Mary Josephine Crawley, or at least Dockery, as she will be back on the BBC for a two-part film adaptation of William Boyd’s spy drama novel, Restless. Dockery will play Ruth Gilmartin, the daughter of a spy who has been underground since a WII mission went wrong.

Dockery’s mother will be portrayed by two actresses (representing her young and contemporary self), Hayley Atwell (lovely from Captain America) and Charlotte Rampling. Also in the Restless cast are Rufus Sewell and the amazing Michael Gambon. Filming for Restless is set to begin later this year and be ready to watch in 2013.

Dockery will of course be reprising her roles as lady  Mary in the aforementioned third season of Downton Abbey, which at least for me won’t be viewable until early next year.
