Riddick – Vin Diesel Teases New Pic

The number one source for information on the next Riddick film, the third film featuring the high adrenaline science fiction character played by Vin Diesel, has proven to be, thus far, been from Diesel himself. Once again, the actor took to facebook to tease Riddick 3 via an image of titular character, complete with sweet goggles.

Last time we got our first look at former Battlestar Galactica ace Katee Sackhoff character, but beyond that this one, again, kind of fits in the general Riddick is hardcore and will probably have to kill you vibe/theme. I actually really enjoy these films, and rank the first, Pitch Black, as one of my favorite SF films, unique in that it’s among the few that are of the action variety in a list that would otherwise mostly include films like Children of Men. The second film, Chronicles of Riddick, tends to catch some hate, probably stumbling a bit in an effort to expand an initial and individual tight SF/Horror/Action situation into a sprawling epic, but it didn’t offend me nearly as much as it did some. Diesel previously let out the word to expect the film in early 2013. The basic gist of the film is that Riddick is trapped on a planet full of badass aliens and his only way off to attract and alert bounty hunters of his whereabouts, who all descend on him to collect. I suspect violence ensues, and possibly genocide by knife.
