Taylor Kitsch Not Catching Fire with Jennifer Lawrence in Hunger Games
A couple of days ago we brought you the word that a pivotal role in Catching Fire, The Hunger Games sequel coming at the end of next year directed by Francis Lawrence, was close to being filled, with a trio of young actors rumored to be in the mix: Armie Hammer, Taylor Kitsch, and Garrett Hedlund. You can now scratch one of them, Taylor Kitsch, off the list

One would hope it’s because the Lion’s Gate saw Battleship or John Carter but the confirmation actually came from Kitsch himself via the LA Times, plainly stating, “not going to happen”. They also go on to report that the studio would not confirm or deny Hammer or Hedlund. The role in question is that of Finnick Odair, who’s a major player in the continued life of Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen.
Catching Fire is set for a November 2013 release.
