Thor 2 – Zachary Levi Ready for Warriors 3?

One of  The Warriors Three from the first Thor movie is breaking ranks!  Josh Dallas, Asgard’s Fandral, will be unable to make it to Thor 2 due to commitments with ABC’s Once Upon a Time second season, where he plays one of the pivotal characters in David Nolan aka Prince Charming to Ginnifer Goodwin’s Snow White. Not an awful gig.

Entertainment Weekly broke the news that there was a void to fill for MARVEl with Dallas leaving, but it was THR who offered the possible replacement in Zachary Levi, a fan favorite due to his run on and as NBC’s Chuck. The report also goes on to explain the symmetry involved if Levi does appear in Thor 2, as he was up for the role originally before Chuck once again got saved from cancellation in 2012. THR describes the negotiations as occurring and an offer being “imminent.”

Thor 2 is set for a November 13 release date, and Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Idris Elba and Anthony Hopkins are set to return. There is a new director, however, with Kenneth Branagh out and Game of Thrones‘ Alan Taylor in.
