True Blood – Joe Manganiello’s Alcide T-1000 Dad

Jackson Herveaux. That’s the name of Alcide’s (Joe Manganiello) pop. Robert Patrick, someone I think everyone will recognize once seeing him if they don’t know him by name, is set to join True Blood’s recently kicked off 5th season. Patrick has a lengthy resume but I think most people caught wind of him in James Cameron’s Terminator 2: Judgement Daywhere he played the T-1000, which became somewhat of an iconic SF villain and special effects performance.

Via Tvline, Patrick is set to appear in a 3-episode arc. We will meet Jackson in the ninth episode of the seasons, titled , “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” (set to air on August 5th), via 1980′s flashbacks of Alcide and Debbie Pelt. Jackson apparently has fallen off from past glories, where he is being described as having been “powerful, inspiring, and heroic” in his prime. Patrick is also set to appear in the sweet looking new upcoming Shawn Ryan show on ABC called The Last Resort.
True Blood continues tomorrow tonight on HBO with “Authority Always Wins”, and you can check out the teaser we put up last week of it to get you primed if you missed it before.
