True Blood Season 5 – A Look Ahead Promo

It just wouldn’t feel right if there wasn’t a True Blood teaser to talk about, and now that Season 5 has started we can finally start looking at new footage of what is to come later in the season. The premiere was an explosive one, with many a fan and critic claiming it to have undone the damage done by Season 4. When you have a particularly bad season, it’s hard to bounce back and deliver something that can be called great, but True Blood managed to make things exciting again. And the fun doesn’t appear to be stopping with the first episode of the new season. Don’t believe me? Just check out the teaser down below.

Things will be interesting for everyone now that Tara’s been turned into a vampire, and she’s got the taste for human blood, and boy does she have it bad. I was a little disappointed the show backed out of killing Tara off, but there’s some serious potential here. And apparently Tara isn’t the only vampire going on the hunt for human. Several killings have been exposed, with vampires as the culprits. These killings have been going on for years it seems, almost like a vampire serial killer. This wouldn’t be all that strange except vampires are supposed to co-exist with us mortals.
This is made all the more clear by Chris Meloni’s character, a member of the Vampire Authority. There’s a very clear theme of rebellion going on here, with vampires going against the Authority. The theme runs true with Alcide’s pack, which seems to have run into trouble. And if that wasn’t enough, Russell is still on the loose, getting up to who knows what. We should all be reasonably pumped about this. My only point of disappointment is the almost complete lack of sex appeal. Isn’t that supposed to be a big selling point for this series?

Show has a good start feels fresh with more emphasis on what the viewers like, namely vampires.
