No, The Walking Dead’s Governor, played by David Morrissey, is not alone, he’s just pimping the Han Solo-esque belt, and dare I say, strut? In this pic from AMC’s Walking Dead Season 3 we get our first look at Morrissey in the role as one of the major new players from Robert Kirkman’s comic that will be introduced next season.

This look at the Governor was debuted by TV Guide, adding to our first look at the third seasons of zombie action released back in May, and a pretty sweet picture of a character we were actually introduced to in season 2′s finale but will see revealed in season  -  Danai Gurira as fan favorite Michonne.  For the comic book devotees who may be worried about a filtered Governor brought to the small screen, Robert Kirkman put minds at ease, earlier offering, “The Governor in the show is definitely going to be The Governor in the comic”.

We will soon be getting another preview of season 3 on a July 8th episode of the AMC  Walking Dead companion show, the Chris Hardwick (of the Nerdist) hosted Talking Dead, which will be part of a two day marathon of the first two seasons of The Walking Dead,starting on July 7th.
