Covert Affairs Season 3 – Agnes Bruckner Has Coffee with Piper Perabo

We got our first look at the the next season of USA’s Covert Affairs via a deadly teaser last week and now we have a new casting announcement, fresh for the third season. Covert Affairs will be graced by the always welcome form of Agnes Bruckner, who will appear in two episodes next season, the 10th and 11th of the 16 episode season run.

TV Guide has the word that Bruckner will play the owner of a cafe in Moscow, where Piper Perabo’s Annie is on the ground for one of her missions. She ends up befriending Annie and must be there for more than just striking a great profile, with her character “Zarya” sticking around for 2 episodes. Bruckner is one of those actresses I don’t see a lot of, but always enjoy when I do, and I wonder what she has going on that seems to limit her appearances. Viewers may recall that she was in several episodes of 24 back in 2004 and made a few appearances in a Private Practice arc in 2009.

Covert Affairs season 3 kicks of next week, back on Tuesdays for USA, on July 10th. Along with Brucker, we also know that Sarah Clarke, Daniella Alonso (who just landed a role in Revolution), and Brendan Hines will also appear this season.
