American Horror Story Season 2 Catches Spider-Man’s Flash

American Horror Story, FX’s buzzy and more-effective-than-their-big-screen counterparts horror project, has been busy adding a new cast for their upcoming second season, which presents a brand new scenario and setting from its first season, with some members of the cast returning, though in different roles. The latest new face is Chris Zylka, an uncomfortably good looking actor that you might have caught on the CW’s Secret Circle last season. From the title of this post, you probably got that he’s going to play Flash Thompson in The Amazing Spider-Man film coming out this week.

It was Zylka himself who put out the word of his American Horror Story casting via twitter and used a quartet of words (+ an and for the sake of comprehension) to describe his feelings toward his involvement, “Pleased, honored, humbled, and thrilled”.  Zylka did not offer any more details on the role, nor has anything else been officially released concerning it, but TVline offered the possibility of the actor filling a role that was asking for an “offbeat, could-be scary” quality.

June already brought us  other casting notes for American Horror Story season 2, including the casting of  Britne Oldfor late of Skins and speculation that Joseph Fiennes was about to come on board. The cast already included Jessica Lange (returning in a new role, as are Zachary Quinto, Lily Rabe, Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters), and other new members of the cast in Chloe Sevigny, James Cromwell, Adam Levine, and Lizzie Brochere.

American Horror Story returns to FX for its second season with a 13 episode order that could possibly be extended, beginning next October.
