Homeland Season 2 Teaser – Inside the Mind of Carrie Mathison

Showtime has released a teaser for Homeland Season 2 that, unfortunately for fans, doesn’t offer any looks at the new season. Instead we get into the mind of Carrie Mathison, played by Claire Danes, with images from the first season and aptly named “Look Again”.

The first season of Homeland was critically well received, taking home the Golden Globe award for Best Drama and seeing Claire Danes walk away with the Best Actress hardware. It’s also up for 9 Emmy Awards this year.

Homeland returns to Showtime’s Sunday line-up this fall on September 30th and does so with a couple of already announced guest stars. Among those tabbed to appear are Rupert Friend (as a series regular) and my girl Valerie Cruz (possibly recurring), who I loved from the Dresden Files (even though she didn’t resemble the source material’s character even in the slightest – great combo with Paul Blackthorne in the titular role). The second season is reportedly going to start up about 6 months into Danes character being in the psych ward (so this teaser’s delivery makes even more sense).

Like the initial season, next season is a 12 episode order at Showtime.
