The Legend of Korra – Making of a Legend video

The first Book of the first season of Nickelodeon’s Legend of Korra, the spin-off from the hit Avatar: The Last Airbender, recently ended, with Book 2 (still season 1 – just want to be clear because I’ve seen some places review it as the season 1 finale).Book 2, titled Spirits, is set to air sometime next year, and according to the show creators will spend half the time in Republic City and the other half in other parts of the world. Now, to be clear, season 2 is a reality and was recently announced for a 26 episodes order, I just want to be sure everyone knows that you still have 14 episodes to go in season 1!

Now that is cleared up, I wanted to share this ”Making of a Legend” video featurette I saw over at io9, a little something to get everyone by between books. The video collects the shorter bits and removed/edited out the unneeded (trust me) announcer.
The Legend of Korra was a ratings beast for Nickelodeon in its demographic and timeslot and beyond just being a damn fine cartoon (like the previous Airbender offering) you just have to admire the very simple but clever notion of the creators growing their Avatar with their previous audience, with yet another quality offering.
