Once Upon a Time Mystery Man (Baelfire?) and a Pirate Hooked for Season 2!

Once Upon a Time season 2 is going to be crowded. I thought the same before the last half dozen casting announcements, so pardon the redundancy, but the role call adds two more this week! It’s all good though because if the ABC fantasy/drama pulls it off, “crowded” quickly turns to “jam packed”. First, let’s talk about the casting that we have the most information on. Pirates are on tap for Once Upon a Time with Colin O’Donoghue assuming the role of Captain Hook. Hook will make his debut in the 4th episode of the season and possibly recur. Sounds a little like the Blue Beard persona on Fables, but sounds like Hook is trouble though he hides it under good looks and a classy demeanor. O’Donoghue was in The Rite, a really bad 2011 horror movie starring Anthony Hopkins. He also appears in the third season of Showtime’s The Tudors as Duke Philip of Bavaria. Last month at SDCC, a Hook teaser was released:
More intriguing is the casting of Michael Raymond-James. EW reported that the former Terriers star and True Blood (season 1) bad had been added to the Once Upon Time mix, but what’s odd about the casting announcement is that unlike every other recent addition – that of Jaime Chung, Sarah Bolger, Sinqua Walls and O’Donoghue - ABC didn’t reveal who MRJ would be playing. This has led most people to think he’s either Henry’s father or the adult Baelfire (Rumple’s son), who could possibly be the same person.
Once Upon a Time season 2 kicks off on ABC Sundays this Fall, the season 2 premiere hitting September 30th.
