Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion’s Castle Helmed by #1

I don’t think he will be talking to Nathan Fillion or Stana Katic with quite that much intensity as shown above, but Jonathan Frakes of Star Trek: The Next Generation fame, as my boy Riker, is set to direct an episode in the upcoming season of ABC’s Castle. The news for the nerd contingent of the internet doesn’t stop there either, as Frakes will direct an episode that takes place at a Comic Con-like affair according to TVline.

Specifically, Castle and Beckett will be part of Frakes’ away team investigating a murder at a science fiction convention (so more like a WorldCon it sounds like). This should be fun and a smooth transition given Nathan Fillion’s real life position in such places as a fan favorite, and Stana Katic’s position of being super hot. This is Frakes’ second spin in Castle, having directed an episode from season 2 (Castle really has been around that long, seems like it flew by). Castle season 5 premieres on ABC Mondays on September 24th.
