Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick Happy in Gossip Girl Season 6?

Leighton Meester, Blake Lively, and the rest of the Gossip Girl are creeping toward their sixth and final season on the upper east side, and this trailer shows us some glimpses of new footage mixed in with a ton of scenes from previous seasons, the former of which focuses on Meester’s Blair Waldorf and and Ed Westwick’s Chuck Bass and teases a possible happy ending for them which I’m sure will split the Gossip Girl base and cause terms like “Chair” and “Dair” to be loyally thrown around with extreme passion.

If nothing else, at least this is familiar ground for Blair and Chuck fans, as recent news regarding Blake Lively’s Serena van der Woodsen has her possibly interested in a new face, that of Barry Watson. Watson is joined in Gossip Girl’s final season guest stars that include LOST’s Andrea Gabriel. As an aside, fans of the show could have started reliving old school Gossip Girl on the Style channel, which last week started rerunning the series in 3-episode blocks.

Gossip Girl returns to CW Mondays for its final season on Monday, October 8th, the season 6 premiere it titled ”Gone Maybe Gone”.
