Hells Angels Members Become Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Nomads
Sons of Anarchy creator, Kurt Sutter, must have become pretty chummy with some of the real-life members of Hells Angels since he has cast another of the badass bikers to play a part in the show’s fifth season. I guess Sutter wants to add a bit of the real world of bikers into his fictional world. I’m sure it has nothing to do with the comments he made regarding Discovery Channel’s The Devils Ride, which follows a number of Hells Angels, including the two now set to appear on Sons. I like to pretend Sutter is mildly frightened of these imposing men, though I’m sure he’s just being a nice guy.
According to TVLine, Hells Angels member Rusty Coones will be appearing in Episode 9 of Season 5, as Quinn. He’ll have a pretty significant part as the president of the Sons of Anarchy nomads, a group that has been mentioned since the first season. The nomads are bikers that do not belong to a specific charter of SOA. They’ll be having a pretty important presence in the season as a few of the nomads are voted into SAMCRO, though I’m not sure if this is meant to be a good thing or a bad thing. What I do know is Hells Angel Chuck Zito will be recurring as Frankie Diamonds, one of the nomads joining SAMCRO. You can see Frankie in this featurette for Sons we posted last week.
Coones is the founder of the Orange County chapter of Hells Angels, as well as having served as president of the San Fernando Valley chapter. But the club isn’t the only important thing in his life. He belongs to a heavy-metal band called Attika7, which has supplied songs for Sons. He also runs a bike shop, Illusion Motorsport, which has custom-built two bikes for Sutter. And now he’s going to be an actor. Clearly he’s a man with many passions. Be sure to look for him on Sons when it premieres its fifth season Tuesday, Sept. 11.
