iCarly and Victorious team-up with Griana Grande and Jennette McCurdy in Nickelodeon’s Sam & Cat

Nickelodeon

Miranda Cosgrove and Victoria Justice, step aside for a minute, as two members from each of the casts of both of iCarly and Victorious are joining forces to star in a new show at Nickelodeon, titled Sam & Cat. If those names sound familiar to fans, it’s because both Griana Grande and Jennette McCurdy are playing their familiar characters from their other shows, iCarly’s Sam Puckett and Victorious’ Cat Valentine.

McCurdy and Grande end up as roommates in Sam & Cat, not only that, they are in business together, starting a babysitting business (work with me here, it’s Nickelodeon). Sam & Cat was created Dan Schneider, the creator and executive producer of iCarly. Back in May we told you that McCurdy was set with a new project at Nick when it was announced that iCarly was coming to an end, with a special TV event bringing the show to a conclusion in November. Regarding Cosgrove’s post-iCarly status, the actress has said that she will be going to school, having enrolled at USC.

This is a pilot order by Nickelodeon, but I find it hard to imagine that Sam & Cat, with two bases feeding in to it and with the twist of using the same existing characters, will tank bad enough not to expect a season order.
