Preview the Abrams/Kring Revolution – NBC’S Apocalypse

 revolution

J.J. Abrams, this time with Supernatural boss Tim Kring, continues his streak of consecutive years with one of more buzzier upcoming shows. Not all of the last, see Undercovers and Alcatraz, but they all at least sound good, don’t they? Next up is NBC’s Revolution which is set to show us a fictionalized earth and what happens when a lot of stuff just stops working. Obviously, we go all Mad Max, and to help us through the chaos is the familiar face of Elizabeth Mitchell, who played one of the harder female roles in recent memory, when she portrayed Juliet on LOST (which Abrams produced and is the co-creator of).

Mitchell is pictured in two image released by NBC as her character Rachel Matheson (great last name to have for the Apocalypse) where she will apparently mostly show up in a series of flashbacks, probably memories of her kids, Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Danny Matheson (Graham Rogers), and her brother-in-law Miles (Billy Burke). When we first told you about the casting of Mitchell we told you that she was described as a long absent mother “who set off on a dangerous cross-country journey.”

Along with the two images of Mitchell, NBC has released an extended preview that features footage from the Revolution  series premiere. I also, below it, included the first teaser released.

Revolution is set to premiere this fall on NBC on September 17th.
