Sons of Anarchy Season 5: Gemma, Tara and Jax in New Character Promos

Sons of Anarchy FX

Sons of Anarchy is in full on adrenaline pumping mode now that it’s tossing out some very unhinged season 5 promos focusing on specific characters. In traditional Sons style, each of the four new promos are intense and keep you in the edge of your seat despite each only being 30 seconds in length. If you’re looking for a good tease for what’s coming this September, then look no further. We get little teases for quite a few of the big players in Sons of Anarchy, and also a few glimpses at the season’s new antagonist, Damon Pope. All in all, things are looking great for Sons, not that I ever doubted they would.

The first video you’ll see below focuses on the Gemma and her relationships with Nero and Clay. While she’s been with Clay for a long time, there’s no denying the basic, animal attraction going on between herself and Nero. He thinks she’s sexy and tells her he thinks so flat out. It’s inevitable the two of them hook up, which we see them do. As for Clay, well, he doesn’t even recognize Gemma anymore, to which she quips, “Why don’t you bounce my face off the floor, then maybe you’ll recognize me?” Yikes.

The next clip shows Tara letting Gemma know she doesn’t want her alone with her sons, basically saying she’s a terrible mother and influence. Overall the video gives the impression that Tara is going to be a lot more threatening this season. Next we have Jax trying out his role as leader of SAMCRO, and he does so by turning to the old leader, Clay, asking what his next play is. It’s not a moment of mentorship, but one of rivalry. The final video doesn’t focus on anyone specifically, but on the season as a whole. This is where we catch some glimpses of Pope, played by Harold Perrineau, as well as returning guest star, Danny Trejo. There’s a good amount of action, some things on fire, and a ton of badass moments.

About Brody Gibson

+Brody Gibson studied film in Vancouver, BC. I originally intended to become a video editor, but realized I have a passion for writing. To say I love television is a bit of an understatement. I watch it religiously, think about it constantly. To be able to talk about it is one the best things in the world. Combining that with my love of writing gives me the opportunity to express my opinions to the Internet masses and start gripping conversations.
