Taylor Swift Announces Red – First Single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” Tops Itunes

Taylor Swift went straight to the fans and announced her next album, her fourth studio album, titled simply Red. Fans are not going to have a long wait for new Swift tunes either, as Swift also announced that Red will be out just a couple of months from now, hitting streets on October 22nd. During this announcement, Swift also released the first single off of the album, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”, which, naturally, vaulted to the top of Itunes.

Swift did all of this on via live web chat, and she was dressed for the occasion, wearing a red top and lipstick. So what’s the scoop on Red? First, it will be 16 tracks, not including bonus joints that will be on various editions. It also sounds like a large tour may be in the works for Swift, she specifically mentioned wanting to work on Red, and not dabbling into film opportunities (and that the “right” one didn’t cross her path).
