CSI: Miami’s Emily Procter is the New White Collar Boss

After CSI: Miami was canceled, I couldn’t help but wonder what the cast would be doing with all their free time and how long it would take some of them to bounce back and land new acting jobs. It doesn’t surprise me at all Emily Procter would be able to so quickly turn things around for herself – just look at her. She’s a got one hell of a look to her. I believe the proper phrase to describe her would be “hot as all hell.” With looks like that I’m more surprised she wasn’t given her own show to star in. Perhaps in due time. For now she’ll have to settle for doing a couple episodes on USA’s White Collar.
As reported by TV Guide, Procter is joining White Collar as the new head of the New York White Collar Division, Assistant Special Agent in Charge Amanda Callaway. She’s going to be shaking up the office when she arrives, being far and away from a pushover. Peter and Neal will have a hard time stepping out of line with her breathing down their necks. Procter will have a two-episode arc as Amanda Callaway and then disappear, I guess? I’m not sure how you get a new boss for only two episodes without some kind of tragedy forcing her out or killing her.
I suppose they could turn her into an off-screen character that gives her orders over the phone, via email, or through her subordinates. But that’s boring and should only be done if the character is super awesome and they want to keep bringing her back an option. If not then they should just fire her or kill her off. Whatever ends up happening to Callaway, let’s just be thankful her gorgeous face will be on White Collar, even if it just for a short period of time. Savor it and cross your fingers she’ll be asked to come back in another season.
