Melissa George Hunted by Cinemax, from X-Files Scribe

Cinemax must be trying to get me to sign on with this new round of original programming. With a Melissa George super agent vehicle in Hunted, following the first Banshee teaser that looked like a lot of fun, I may just have to. Melissa George has a tendency to appear in good projects, both on television and the big screen, having appeared in the sublime Dark City, Steven Soderbergh’s The Limey, and Mulholland Drive. In TV you know her from Alias as Lauren Reed or from HBO’s In Treatment, which garnered George a Golden Globe nomination.
Hunted, as you can see by the poster debuted by TVline, puts George back in the role as an agent, one that thinks an attempt on her life is an inside job (basically, the plot for half of every spy movie or tv show ever made). The show is ran by former X-Files myth builder Frank Spotnitz, and will debut on Cinemax on October 19th for an 8-episode initial season. Fans of sister-channel HBO’s Game of Thrones will recognize Stannis Baratheon in the cast, as George is joined by Stephen Dillane, Adam Raymer, and Mr. Eko from LOST, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.
I’d like to check this one out.
