Fringe Season 5 – The Final Season – Fights for the Future

Fringe is taking it to the streets for the final season. Fringe offers another season 5 peek via this poster from FOX, as Observers just walk on by the mugsof Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson and John Noble. It’s the final season for the science fiction drama so its only right that someone tagged them, though the Observers don’t seem too impressed. The season5 premiere, as you can see on the poster, arrives next Friday, September 28th. It’s good to see Olivia represented here, as the last time we talked Fringe
It’s good to see Torv’s Olivia represented here, as the last time we talked Fringe with the full premiere – “Transilience Thought Unifier Model-11″ - episode photo gallery she was absent among a whole lot of amber.

I have been reading your posts, and you are one of the few who notices that little is done to make certain that viewers know that Olivia Dunham/Anna Torv. is in season 5, compare that to the Where is P.Bishop/J.Jackson last year.
Another prove how little recognition Anna Torv gets from US media , Wyman and the production and WB and Fox, for them Fringe seems to be all about J Jackosn and J.Noble.
From what I read, season 5 will be what I feared, another round of catering to Nobles Poor selfpity Walter that I now hate.
As Wyman himself stated, Noble needs his Emmy so badly, season 5 will be once again for him. (BTW Noble started on twitter, only to be pathetic about not getting that Emmy nom)
It will be the family Walter , Etta and Peter versus Olivia like season 1 and partly 2, and Walter the poor guy.
For me Walter is the very egocentric man who abused and damaged children , most of all Olivia, for his science and own needs, nothing to do with love for a son, the nazis had that as well, are we going to feel sorry for them?
Speaking of nazis , that is not the Observers I was interested in, I loved September, and some of his chums, but nasty Windmark and co, strange development if we have to believe that they could predict the future .
I listened to Noble interviews at Comic Con 2012, in which he made it very clear that he was not going to play Walter the outsider , no he needs to be center and expect all the attention seeking and tearjerker scenes to be for him.
Noble only seem to be able to play that Walter; for me a great actor is someone who makes a character that is not likeable alive , and who dares to take risks, Noble does not fit that profile.
On top of that Noble gets all the writing on Fringe, everything is for him, at the expense of the other characters.
Olivia Dunham is going to be the outsider and the loner, so another tough round for Anna Torv to play a character people are not going to feel sorry for, as Olivia never gets scenes to emote about her inner pain.( I am still waiting for the first scene of Olivia to talk about her mother as a person, and what about her father, never even mentioned).
Anna Torv for me is that great actor who dares to play a not easy to like character, and Anna is so awesome that she can create those Olivias from not much writing.
Anna has found it difficult to play that closed off Olivia, the constand sadness that is underneath (imagine doing taht 15 hours a day), but she does it, and brilliantly and with that for me has created the most interesting character.
So my prediction for season 5: Olivia will be found, but will have her issues with Walter, and Etta will not like her for that , so Olivia will be the outsider, and the viewers will once again bond with the Walter, Peter, Astrid and now Etta family.
As usual Olivia will beat herself up for that, and will go her lonely route, made to feel guilty by the others, in the very end after some fighting, she will be accepted by the family, only to die for the greater good. (since a form of walter shot her 2 times already, I predict he does it again, while crying he is sorry, yuk).
