Disney and Marvel Create Two Team Up Cartoons Featuring The Avengers and The Hulk

Disney XD is once again teaming up with Marvel to bring about new animated series after the success of Ultimate Spider-Man. Milking the success of the summer blockbuster, The Avengers, two new shows have been picked up to join the Marvel Universe block in Summer 2013: Marvel’s Avengers Assemble and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. Both series will feature the Hulk, which is perfect considering he doesn’t look to be getting a new live-action movie anytime soon, so he deserves a little extra attention in the other forms of media.
Avenger’s Assemble will feature the same team from The Avengers movie, with the addition of Falcon. Adrian Pasdar will do the voice of Iron Man just as he did on Ultimate Spider-Man and the Iron Man anime series. Fred Tatsciore will voice the Hulk, Roger Craig Smith doing Captain America, Travis Willingham as Thor, Troy Baker as Hawkeye, Laura Bailey as Black Widow and Bumper Robinson as Falcon. Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau and Steven T. Seagle are all executive producers and are the animation team at Man of Action Studios, known for creating the Ben 10 franchise.
Tatsciore will also voice the Hulk in Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., which will put the Hulk with yet another team, with this one filled with other gamma-radiated behemoths. The rest of the cast includes Buffy the Vampire Slayer alums Eliza Dushku and Seth Green as She-Hulk and A-Bomb respectively. Clancy Brown will play Red Hulk and Ben Diskin will voice Skaar. It will have animation veterans Paul Dini and Henry Gilroy attached on to the project.
This is all good news for Marvel. Kids love super heroes, the Avengers in particular. It’s hard to imagine these new shows as not being huge successes. As awesome as it is to see the Hulk get his own show, I’m still holding out hope for a sequel to The Incredible Hulk with Mark Ruffalo again playing Bruce Banner.
