Glee Finds a New Warbler to Hunt Down Blaine

The rivalry between McKinley’s New Directions and the Darlton Academy Warblers isn’t about to end any time soon and you can expect some schemes through out Glee’s fourth season, especially with Blaine – a former Warbler – still a big part of New Directions’ sound. But, with Kurt gone, does Blaine really have any reason to stay at McKinley? You can bet that’s a question that will be asked once a new character – to be introduced – attempts to lure Blaine back to Darlton. This won’t be the first time someone from Darlton has tried to manipulate Blaine, but will it work this time? It’s a whole new situation with Kurt not in the picture.
According to TVLine, Canadian actor-singer Nolan Gerard Funk will play our new Warbler. He’s Canadian? Well, so am I, but I’ve never heard of him. Who is this guy? Well, he’s a well-established singer, having been a part of the Nickelodeon musical Spectacular as well as the Broadway revival of Bye Bye Birdie. And he’s no stranger to TV and movies, having done work on Warehouse 13 and Angels in America and can currently be seen in Jennifer Lawrence’s House at the End of the Street. He’ll be on Glee this season as Hunter and will be trying his hardest to convince Blaine he belongs back at Darlton with the Warblers. Will it work? Only time will tell.
Unlike the last guy who tried to get to Blaine, Hunter is said to be straight, so there goes the strategy of appealing to Blaine’s sexual orientation. He’ll have to use a different form of manipulation if he wants any success. As I said before, with Kurt gone it might not be too hard to change Blaine’s mind. It all depends on where his loyalties lie: with McKinley or just with Kurt?
Funk will make his first recurring appearance in Episode 7, “Dynamic Duets.”
